10:00am - 3:30pm
10:00 – AISTI welcome, Board of Directors introductions and background; general objectives
of the meeting.
10:20 – Brief introductions from participants
10:30 - begin 15 minute presentations/overviews of the 5 selected topic areas
1. Scientific workflows & the library - Rob Olendorf (UNM)
2. Data management - Johannes Van Reenan (UNM)
3. Information integration & exploitation - James Powell (LANL)
4. Reinventing reference / outreach - Susan Awe (UNM)
5. Knowledge management - Miriam Blake (LANL)
11:45 – split into topic areas and get to know each other over lunch.
12:00-1:00 – lunch (provided)
1:00 – topic groups brainstorm in their topic area and discuss:
- what are the most important needs in the topic area?
- what needs are not being met by other organizations?
- what can we do, as a diverse group of STM libraries in NM, to focus and work together on the concerns?
- is there a specific way for AISTI to help? (e.g. sponsor projects, training, speakers, etc.)
3:00 – discuss next steps
