Emerging Research Summit (May 2007) - This summit focused on adapting digital libraries to emerging trends such as addressing data warehousing and popularizing the concept of the “informationist.” The resulting white paper is available for download. (3.8MB PDF)
Support of the MPEG21-DIDL Structures (2006) - AISTI funded travel support for the continuation of the MPEG21-DIDL Structures developed by the LANL Research Library Prototyping Team.
Emerging Research Summit (2003) - Results from these efforts included a funded Mellon grant to investigate the release of open source software to expose gray literature via Apache servers.
AISTI E-Print Server (2002-2004) - AISTI partnered with the LANL Research Library to create an E-print server housing AISTI member documents, allowing several AISTI members to set up their own Institutional Repositories.
Technical Reports Initiative (1996-2001) - AISTI members, LANL Research Library, Naval Research Laboratory Library, NASA STI Program, and Air Force Research Laboratory agreed to participate in a project enabling technical reports from each institution to be available to each other electronically.
Enhanced Access Tools (1992- 2004) - AISTI members worked closely with the Los Alamos National Laboratory Library Without Walls Project to develop integrated research tools.
