AISTI offers several types of membership. For futher information please see the criteria for membership, obligations, and benefits.

Full Membership is open to libraries and information programs in not-for-profit sci-tech organizations worldwide. Organizations are expected to have significant collections and sufficient resources to participate in AISTI projects, as well as expertise, products and resources that will advance AISTI goals. Full Members hold a seat on the board of directors, participate in the governance and direction of AISTI, actively participate in projects, attend educational programs and quarterly forums, and may participate in group licenses.

Collaborative Membership - is open to libraries and information programs in not -for-profit and for-profit sci-tech organizations. Organizations are expected to have significant collections and sufficient resources to participate in AISTI projects, as well as expertise, products and resources that will advance AISTI goals. Collaborative Members participate in quarterly forums, projects, educational programs, and may participate in group licenses.

Associate Membership - Associate membership is open to all libraries and information programs in not-for-profit sci-tech organizations that do not meet criteria for full or collaborative membership. Associate members may participate in educational programs and group licenses.
